Not sure where to post this but i would have found it helpful 6 months ago
For AU s if you lock your keys in the boot open the fuse box in the cab and remove the top right 5 A fuse then put it back press the boot release button hope this help those of you with subs or lpg tanks in the way Wish i knew this before as i had to jack the car up drop the fuel tank and cut through the fuel pump sevise panel to get to the boot release This is where i found this tip http://www.fordforums.com.au/showthread ... =keys+boot if an one can think of a more approprite place for this post |

um not sure about AU's but dont ya just have to press the boot button anyway? not take out fuses?

EFII's/EL's you need to pull the CRT LP fuse, and refit it.

this might sound like a crazy thing to do, but if you have access to the cabin fuse panel, just open the back seat up and reach in?

Just a though, I personally have added a boot release cable out of a lpg au, as some came with a long boot release cable that comes in near the cab, to pass the tank.

ha or if i was really clever i would get a spare key ......
but i know that's not going to happen instead I've developed ocd and cant close the boot unless the keys are in my hand ( i actually stare at them as i close it ) :D |

Yeah but if your a fair distance from home, it not always possible/practical, to get a hold of the spare key.

personally i found it alot easier to just get in the habit of puttin them straight back in my pocket, or get a button and keep it in your centre console

Doesn't help when the car is locked and you accidentally close the boot with keys inside. Took the NRMA bloke less than a minute to get them back for me though. Sneaky f**k.

Same thing happen with my Brother in law in his ef, I suggested that he pull the boot button out, disconnects the two wiring and connect them manually, presto boot opens!
