Can anyone please tell me what this plug is for ? car is an EB1 it comes off the headlight loom near the battery tray.

thanks ed_man........ Wrong thread mate...try your luck in the 8 cylinder forum. (guessing it is a V8 due to the naming of your picture file.) and which plug are you referring to? the black one in the foreground, or the white round one or the black rectangular looking one on the right? I am guessing the white is for a light globe. Clueless about the other 2 sorry. phong =P~

Is your eb a fairmont? If not then that plug will be for either low water level sensor in the header tank or a outside temp sensor connector for climate control air con as found in the high series vehicles. As far as I can remember. Been 15 years since I worked at the local Ford dealership.

Hi
Yes the car is a Fairmont 6, and I was reffering to the black plug on the bumper bar. Yes the white plug is the indicator. thanks.

Don't know about the climate control stuff, because my EB is only a Gli, but I recently put in a Mid-Series cluster and I used that plug for the low water level sensor.

Normally the low coolant plug is located directly under the tank. This one was behind the headlight.

From that picture he looks like he has taken out his tank/lights and the plug was stretched over where they would be to rest on the bumper. |

it's the auto self leveling motor/pump wiring plug.. all EBII and ED models have this fitted standard..

Ahhh Haaa,
forgot some of the earlier models had complete wiring harnesses. Before ford started skimping on wiring to save costs. |

Yes I think you are correct, I looked at an ED Classic and it has the same plug just sitting there not connected to anything.

you will probably find that, that plug is for the self leveling suspension. the pump sits behind the gaurd next to the battery
|
