The purpose of this new form is for you to discuss any aspect of our existing technical doco's. Either asking questions, suggesting changes or pointing out any errors. We also welcome suggestion for new technical documents, or perhaps you have an idea for a Technical document but aren't sure whether people will be interested - this is the place to find out!

in a sense yes, if you have a doco you would like to add, or enquire about creating one etc. Comments on existing ones are also welcome - all our docouments are dynamic, if we can enhance them and make them better we all win!!

I know there is a document on ef-el diagnostics with ecu catch codes but it only has some of the codes and an understanding of how the codes apply would be VERY helpful for instance I have an ecu with 94DT-BC and I know 94 stands for year D= ? B=? and C=? I have been told if the last two are AA then it is manual and this ecu comes from an auto so I suppose one ot the last letters means AUTO but what is the other one.
MATTI's doco is great as far as it goes, but an understanding of the reference numbers would be a great help.

The EL Stereo wiring diagram is wrong, the colours aren't correct. I will post up the correct colouring.

Anyone interested in a doco on BA DIY's??
I've done a couple of mods and have shared information about 2 or 3 times on differenet threads, so I thought I would offer the following since I will be working on a couple again in the near future: Removal and painting of ICC Fascia Removal and painting of interior plastics Removal and painting of mesh grill on XT Removal and painting of cluster surround Just some ideas, although may have been already done...

im going to attept to make a starter button on my ef, just like FPV. i will be using the central locking button and somhow wiring it up to power the starter motor. you'd still need the key but just not to crank it over. prob seems pointless but i'd have countless hours starting my car by the push of a button. would anyone be interested in this? suggestions?

I will do up a doco on how to install NOS on a V8, it will be for both Wet and Dry systems, as i have recently completed a conversion from dry to Wet. Do i just PM this to you Happy, or do you have an email i can send it to as a word doc.
