i have just purchased the parts for the shift kit. I got the '0336' switch from jaycar, which is a 3 position switch (on, off, on).
Is this the correct switch?? I also purchased the (on, on) switch just incase. What are the 3 positions for?? Cheers David

Just finished building my shift kit!
Thanks very much to everyone who put the instructions together, was very easy to put the kit together using the step by step instuctions. I put the switch on the box itself, and ill whack the whole unit in the glove box. i'm going to install it into the car later on tonight, and take it for a drive and see how it goes. Cheers! David. Shift kit installed!!
TWO THUMBS UP!!! Best thing ever for 10 bukcs!! Wish i did it 6 months ago when i first looked into it. From what i can gather: Switch one way=improved shift over stock Switch center=stock Switch the other way= Hang on!! Definately switch center for wet roads! I left with the switch one way first and thought 'yeah, not bad', switch center 'ah, stock...', and flicked it the other way and thought 'HOW GOODS THIS!!!!' Congrats to the people who put in the hard work setting up the doco on how to build and install Cheers fellas David

{USERNAME} wrote: Here is the a basic diagram for the LED warning. This is from the other thread but there was an error. They had the LED looped so basically both poles on the LED were going to the power. {DESCRIPTION} You will be able to see power goes into the DPDT in the middle pole. Then you have the green and red LED's off the end poles. The other pin on the LEDs will connect to each other and go to negative or ground. I am planning taking the accessories power supply from the radio. That way the power is only on when the accessories are on. The LED wont drain enough power to drain the battery but still. What if you only want to use the Green LED for when you shift the switch on? or do you have to have the Red LED hooked in so it's only lit up when the ignition is either in accessories or on? My shift kit consists of 2 switches and 2 Ballistic Resistors, not sure what Ohm's they are but I can check to see if I can figure out what ohms they are but the switches are the exact same as whats described on here. Car is an ED Thanks

Hi Has anyone done one of these for a BA as they changed the way they control them from the ecu by earthing the solinoids in the ecu instead of sending power to them. Cheers MD

Hi guys, I went into dsmiths to get some resistors as the ones we use at work are all .25 watt etc. They didn't have 10 watt resistors so i got the 5 watts, (2 of each value) and was going to series them up before realising that the resistance doubles as well as the wattage (I wasn't thinking )
If I was to use them doubled up, so 10 watt 36ohm and 10 watt 11.2ohm, would this make the shift softer? And if I was to just use one each (the resistance being correct but wattage being half of suggested) would this be bad? |

I'd like to see a completed diagram for the EF shift kit incorporating the LED's, and a definitive list of part numbers from Jaycar. I know it's all there in this thread somewhere but searching all these posts can be like trying to un-make a spaghetti bolognese...!
Thanks

So, this is a compilation of all my reading off all the annoyingly long threads.
Can someone confirm that this is right:
