Hey,

its not realy relevant what you want to call it.

The bcm (body control module) or bem (body electronics module),
same thing. My mechanic calls it a BEM, my local wreckers call it a BCM.

What do you mean the motor is not working,
first you said its not working, then said it is ???

If you mean it appears to be working, but is not squirting ya windscreen,
Just blow ait through the line and see it theres a blockage,
if not, then go pickup a new washer bottle pump motor from your local auto shop (around AUD $14 from memory).

I had something similar with my last ford, motor seem to be working, could hear it if you were near it, but wasn't squirting. Changed washer bottle motor, was all good.

Hope this help.

Bazz, this is what I'd be checking. I had a similar problem myself and spend quit a bit of time trying to get to the bottom of it. When I tell you how to fix it you will laugh because is so simple ( well it was in my case anyway)

Remove the pickup strainer from the water bottle and clean it. It gets a slimy s**t film over it and reduces/stops flow. I think it just builds up over time and we are all sometimes guilty of putting to much soap in the bottle which doesn't help.
I cant promise that this is your problem but its worked for me and if the motor is working (as you say) then one needs to use a process of elimination, so its a good starting point.

Let me know how you go.
