i just bought an ef fairmont and am looking to buy a set of 19 inch wheels, superlow springs, ef xr6 shocks and whiteline swaybars, just wondering how many people had done anything similar and if they had any problems with it rubbing on gaurds or anything, thanks heaps

you can use xr6 shocks but i would recommend getting shortened ones...its not that much more expensive and will give a much nicer ride

dont use Gabriel shock with king supers. The Gabriel shocks have the plate an inch lower then standard and that means the car sits lower. 1800 on here lowered with Gabriels and Supers and it lower then ultra's.

The KYB shocks seem to be the best by. Monroes are s**t if you are going for performance.

You will also need a camber kit so you dont destroy tose lovely 19's in 5'000km. Use a Nolathane or KMAC ahim type. The other type is s**t and doesnt work well.

EF FAIRMONT..
19 inch mags..
super lows up front..
ultra lows in the rear..

and yes.. i did have the inner wheel arches "lipped".. cost $15 per corner to do... (rubber mallet and a heat gun).. dodgy? yes... i know.. :lol:

i had an ed on super lows and 19s and it was fine.
Now its on ultra lows all round and i need the front gaurds rolled as they scrape a air bit. looks freakin awesome, easy to lower aswell.

does that mean if i got just lows all around and used gabriels it would be a nice height? would i handle like s**t though?

but i hava mate that wrote off his ef xr6 off a cliff and through some trees etc etc....so i was just gna buy the shocks off him, theyr still in fine condition, he managed to drive the car home even with a twisted chassis, half the roof missing and the diff smashed open

Fair tip if the car has been through trees & off a cliff the suspension aint gonna be that great.
