i have 18x8's with 245/40's all round the fronts scrape sometimes and we had to remove grease nipples from top ball-joints for clearance

yeah they are e series offset no idea why they were scraping, but then again i dont have low profile tyres and when putting them on it raised the car a fair bit so they were scrubbing up into the guards you should be sweet though worse comes to worse just get it done!

i have a ef xr6 and picked up a set of multi fit chrome wheels for it and they scrape on the top of the wheel as well. there is a ef el falcon on ebay at the moment with 19s so it definitely can be done hey. the wheels i was gonna put on are 17 s and still scrape. i am looking at putting spacers on to suss that out. also does anyone know where to find a set of xr6 front indicators.

If your offset is 0 to + 6 with your wheels, they SHOULD fit, clearing any suspension.

Guard rolling depends on total width and total offset - negative offset pushes the wheel out towards the guard.

A set of 20s with low profile tyres will have the same width and total height as a set of 17s.
I'm running 18x8s with 245/40 tyres all round. Kings superlows.
Clears suspension easily, doesnt scrub front or rear normal driving or loaded. My guards arent rolled either.
The right offset is key to fitting a big set of wheels, though I would recommend getting the front guards rolled regardless. If, for any reason the wheel does catch the guard (steep driveway, full lock perhaps), you will be fkn p****d off; I havent done mine as I havent found anyone I trust to do them and not crack paint yet.
