Hi everyone. I would like some info on the 28 spline BorgWarner diff centers. my problem is this. I pulled the lsd center out of one of my falcons to give to a friend to put in his VS commodore ute. The crown wheel offsets turned out to be different. I have talked to a couple fellas that have put falcon centers in there commodores no problem. So is there 2 different falcon offsets ? I have an old standard 25 spline falcon center sitting beside the holden center and they have the exact crown wheel offset. is there a difference between falcon V8 and 6cyl 28 spline centers. Can anyone clear this up for me.

xe falcon 6 cyl would be 25 spline 75 series, eb2 to au are 28 spline 78 series,

the main difference is the size of the ring gear eg, 7.5" vs 7.8" so to use 75 series gears in a 78 series housing will need the pinion to be shimed to mesh with ring gear.
but all 6 cyl and v8 from eb2 all use the same 78 series diff
