hey all

have the option to get 3.45 gears from an EF XR6 for my futura - just the crown wheel and pinion, for $150. assuming its all in good nick etc, what would be required to fit it to my EF Futura? currently it has a 3.08 single spinner. and then down the line, upgrading to LSD?

cheers

Won't fit.

The 3.08s are 75 series diffs, 7.5" Crown wheel. 3.23 and 3.45 are 78 series with a 7.75" crown wheel. At the very least you'll need a new carrier.

Now if you wanna get rid of em I'd be interested. I have an LSD that I think is 3.23, the standard V8 auto ratio. Will check soon.

You'd be best off getting the limo fitted at the same time as the gears as it would save you money on installation costs as to do the jobs separately, you would just be doubling the same ammount of work.

fraser - as has been said wont fit
you need a 3.23 housing or 3.45 complete diff to make it work
and then you still arent lsd, better off fitting an entire 3.45lsd diff
