yes
(it is that simple) Also the LSD feature adds greatly to round corner handling.

can u just change the centre when changing from a 3.08 to a 3.23 or 3.45?? or do u have to do a disc to disc swap??

no, the 3.08 housing is too small.
And get yourself a black 23-tooth speedo sender gear, that'll fix up the speedo. Oh, and the reduction in top speed will still mean it's above the speed limiter anyway, so it won't affect many people.

You shouldn`t notice any extra fuel cost but the rear tyres could be hard to keep up with.

i've got a 3.23:1 single spinner, and im sick of torching the inside wheel when punching it out of a corner.
my mates xr6 is heaps better, it just grips and shoots off. i'm thinking of putting the 3.45:1 in my car too.

Oh, and the reduction in top speed will still mean it's above the speed limiter anyway, so it won't affect many people. you can put 3.45:1 gears in the 3.08:1 housing. you just can't put gears from the wrong serries of housing in. gears from an EL will not fit an EB. EFs had both serries of housing so you need to be carefull with them |
