Simple question, is the 3.7 ratios to high for a daily driver that is gonna be used for alot of highway driving? Or should i just go for a 3.45 lsd? But if i was to go for the 3.7 where would i source 1 from and how much?

3:7's are always good for a quick launch just remember when you are doing 100k's your revs will be onabout 2500. Thats with a T5 manual anyway.

are you sure your speedo is calibrated correctly. 3.45's will be around 2150 with a t5. (ef xr6) i have 3.9's and auto and i reckn mine's up around 2400 @ 100. 4.11's would def be more than 2250 @ 100kph.

To solve the speedo issue, send the boys at shiftkits.com.au a request, they will supply a box that does the job with instructions on how to wire it in. They helped fix mine.
I solved my prob of the 3.9 gears with and XD transducer from mal wood witch got the speedo accurate, and the box got the shift points right. Brett

You set them up properly with the right shims you wont have a problem, if you dont then they will be noisy. Biggest problem with skyline gears IMO is they are used on a 75 series centre where as falcon are 78 series. Difference is about 70thou. |
