Hey, I've heard people fitting 31 spline Axels in a Borgwarner78 series diff .. what would they have changed to be able to fit them ? surely they can't just slap 'em in...

if it's too much work i am going to buy the 28 spline axels, but in BILLET which is suppose to be stronger - (I have a standard 28 spline axels in my ED) , i have already bought a BILLET-mini spool which is going to get fitted in a week or so.

billet axels for a pair is $600 on the net

I've been advised that 28 spline axles can break with spool centres (both full and mini types) when going around tight corners. You should stick with an LSD centre unless you're seriously drag racing.

yeah i know what can happen... but that's life, i mostly hear people say that havn't had problems, like they havn't broken an axel in 1/2/3 years .. so as long as it can handle 1 year it will be sweet :)

though i hear heaps of people breaking their 25 spline axels, but 28 is obviously stronger... so i may as well buy the after market 28 spline BILLET axels as it's suppose to be almost impossible to break them with my cars power, unless I am pulling 600HP or something , than it will start to break etc. :P
