i dont think so....but id like to hear from others who have done a ratio change...
I have a put a 3.7 in a EA 2.77 wagon housing and it seemed to fit without any problems and it didnt require extra shims, but I havent put it in my car yet..

Problem is there is so much BS relayed about this topic you dont know what to believe. I have quite a collection of housings and centers and I am yet to find this late model 78 series housing that takes 75 series gears. My advice - if you want to put 75 series gears in a car with a 78 series diff either find someone who will make a shim up for you at a price your happy to pay, build your diff from a 75 series ea housing/arms, or pay the money and get the right series a*** for your diff.

2.77 EA diffs are 75 series, so any of the R31 ratios will fit

so both the 4.11s and the 3.08 had 0575 stamped on them?
