4.11 pintara is a borg warner 75 series, yours is a borg warner 78. You will need to have a shim made up for the pinion if you want to fit it to your housing

its about 1/4". Best bet is to take it to a diff shop and get them to fit and shim it up for you.

seems likt theses not enough pull down on the bolt even when you take out the shim theses still play not as much thow the front bearing has to go in more but theres a mynute step up on the pinion were the shim goes if this wasnt there i recon it mite pull down ok and have a shim between the bearing and sharft yoke anyone figerd this be for ?

in your other post I asked what diff you had...

some diffs are more compatible than others when it comes to ratio changes...

whats the car, whats the original housing ratio?

searching through another of your posts you say you have a 3.08 diff...

I assume its an EF or EL...

well it seems you have the same problem as other people with 3.08s that try to put 3.45 ratio gears in there housings....

ive tried to research this stuff before and it seems to me that the housing itself on the 3.08 diff is different to other housings
