Ive got an 1988 DA LTD with the sh!tty 3 spd auto(without power/economy switch)... i have the opertunity to score an wrecking EA with a 4 speed. I was thinkin of swaping trans...just wanted to know if it'll be definatly worth it.... and what ill need from the EA (Trans, ECU?, wiring?)

Dash wiring loom, engine wiring loom, trans wiring loom, engine ECU, Trans ECU, diff, console quadrant and console wiring.
Not sure if the EA 4 speeds had a double TPS or not. If it does, you will need them. The diff is optional, but it is the whole reason you'd want a 4 speed. A shorter ratio to improve acceleration, along with a more efficient auto. Plus at 100km/h you'd be doing something silly like 1500rpm if you kept your current diff. |

Damn.!! because i think someone has already taken the diff... ...Ya reckon it'll be worth doin the conversion?

Yeah. It doesnt stop you getting a 3.08 or 3.23 diff elsewhere.
Or if you can get your hands on a 3.45, even better. |
