Ea box will fit into the EF, the pedal box requires a bit of work and some mods to fit, the ecu just requires two resistors to get it working.
The reverse can't be said. The EA will need a fair bit of work to get a 4 speed auto working.

the 5speed in your car is easy, swap, but for the love of god get an EF flywheel and clutch.
im unsure about the auto to ea q, but would assume the use of an ed computer as they were a 4speed? |

ok sweet so the 5spd will work sweet but putting the 4 spd auto into the ea will be a fair bit harder looks like i might have to pass this one up unless any one got an ea auto kickin round gotta be good for towing a big trailer

you are aware that the ea gearbox had differant gear ratio to the ed ef and arnt as good off the line and ea only have a 3 bolt clutch setup instead of a 6 bolt setup as on the efs so i would be putting in a ef flywheel and clutch

The 3 bolt is also not an issue for a standard or lightly modified I6.
