I have a friend who wants to place a 6 speed behind his turbo BA ute. Anyone done this? I am unsure if it is g/box alone or tailshaft and if it has any ecu related issues. 2nd to that where the hell do you find a 6 speed, made a few calls but have come up with laughter at the other end of the phone :P
Anyway advice in any direction would be appreciated

Thanks

FTG auto salvage should be able to supply a conversion kit, tailshaft, trans mount etc

Mal Wood also supplies a conversion kit. I don't think they come especially cheap though if your converting from auto to T56. Going from a five speed T5 to T56 is a lot less painful.

If its 5sp to 6sp pretty sure its a straight swap, just need to fiddle with some wiring for reverse as they have an electronic lock out
