hi, could anyone tell me what diff the 73 ZG fairlane came stock with? its got a 302 clevo, 4bbl carby C4 auto... thats about all i know untill i get the old girl delivered ... just not shore if they came with a 9inch diff or what that year.

302 C4 combo would of come from factory with a Borg Warner 75 series diff.

instead of starting another thread, wondering did the 1979 FC LTD 351 come with a 9" diff from the factory ?

Nope. the FC didn't come with 9" at all.
Last LTD to come from factory with a 9" was the P6.

thanks for the help guys, ended up finding a BW78, 28 spline, 4 pinion LSD in a 82 ZK lane, it got a complete rebuilt in 2012 with new 28 crown/pinion etc

yeah the owner traded it in for a new car at the local car yard, and the car yard only sells newer cars, so it got off loaded to a guy i know who does scrap metal/wreckers out on a private property. The ZK's also got a fully overhauled C4 (2012). plus its a 302/351c pillow block V4- 4 barrel carb job ...got all the invoices with it too, zero rust, will need a re-spray and new interior so looks like crap, but goes like a mofo :twisted:
