I am looking at getting a Disk Brake 9 Inch for the XG but all the diffs I have looked at the brake disk sits behind the axial, so if I wanted to change the disk I would have to remove the axle.
Are they all like this?? I know the Borg Warners used to be like this then changed to the Disk on the outside about XD. |

Yep....XC was the last to get 9" diffs......2.75 or 3.00:1......usually dual exhausts got the 3.00's.

I thought that XE had 9's in the ESP & 351's.

XE ESP 351's had disc brake BW's...usually 28 spline 4 pinion LSD.

Ok so I guess that you can only get 9's with the Disc behind the axle then.

Being a ute or panel van any post XA 9" will fit. I fitted a XBGT 9" to my XE wagon. (which I'm selling)

one option is to use the caliper mount brackets and calipers from an XF, IIRC very little involved to bolt them up, but you wont be able to hook the handbrakes up without a lot of stuffing around
why do you want a 9" anyway? |

theres been more than a few tougher combo's that have lived quite happily with a borg warner.....
