hey guys. i felt like making my car a tad lower at the front so it didnt look so lol and i didn't the money to buy springs so i pulled em out and cut them today. my front was stock height and i cut 3 coils off each spring with the angle grinder and now the front is sitting on the stoppers. It dropped about 3 inches.

so the lesson learned here is that 3 coils is WAY TOO MUCH!!!

no the lesson you will soon learn is that when you corner at high speed or on a uneven road your cut springs will pop out causing the front end to hit the deck and end up costing a s**t load more that $300 for a set of profesional lowered springs

agreed.

They're not only unsafe, but illegal, and do nothing for performance (handling).

i dont think my springs are gonna pop out because there is still tension there. and even if they do, who gives a s**t because my car has already hit the deck, its not going any lower. i am gonna buy springs eventually but i'm not made of money like u obviously are.

you know what is is realistically..

'aw ma gawd bayybee look how sik ma car looks and i cant go over a tree branch bro, aaww ma gawd, i cant get out of maccas car park cuz! ella re!'..

you can get kmac custom height springs or any other brand as well, if your goin to modify your car, do it right or dont do it at all beacuse your going to cause more damage to yourself includign defect notice then anything else. if u cant afford to get lowered, like everyone else. save and wait dude, its not worth the s**t ride u get from cut springs

or the defects or the written off car, or the death of you or someone else. Glad I'm not in SA (apologies, and commiserations to those of you in SA that do the right thing).

Cutting springs is not as dangerous as everyone makes it out to be.. if you know what you're doing..... you obviously didn't.... I do hope you learnt your lesson... and get some proper springs pronto... they won't cost you more than 20ish from u-pull-it... Stock height is alot safer than what you have. And than save up and buy a proper set of low springs... if you keep your eye out on the forums you will see people selling some cheap occasionlally.

thanks blackjack...at least u didnt blast me.. i knew what i was doing but i just didnt know that taking out 3 coils would make it that low. it was only a cheap experiment.
