I have noticed that sometimes when I have had to do emergency braking during heavy traffic the ABS of my ED seems to take an inordinate amount of time to 'rebrake' after the ABS has 'debraked' my braking. It is very disconcerting as it gives the impression of no brakes. From what I understand ABS is meant to go off and on up to 20 times a second. This feel like one second on one or two seconds off. Is there something weird with the speed sensors? Maybe my ABS equipped vehicle has had non-ABS discs fitted in the past? Anyone else experienced this?

ABS sensors dirty or need replacing could be causing your issue...
