My ABS lights been on for close to 2years now, i exttracted the codes and found that i have a faulty abs pump and a diode on the instument panel is faulty.

chances are that a wheel sensor is crook, or the pump is shot.
get a scanner onto it. if the abs light is on, it'll log a code.

Also check your fuse as this was a problem that i have had on my old EF. The ABS light was always on and then one day i checked the fuses and the fuse had blown. Changed fuse and the light went away

Just take the globe out of cluster, disconnect all sensor wires, pump wires etc etc....and don't have one.
Airbags kill more than they save....i hit a pole at 80 after i fell asleep with cruise on in my old fairmont.....wrote it off....walked away, but woulda prolly had very stiff neck if airbag went off....

It all depends on your driving habits. If you follow the correct precedure and are the correct distance away from the sterring wheel and the seatbelts are allright, then the airbags DO in fact save lives. That is why they are there

Better than a broken neck! I rather have an airbag than not. Besides this thread is about ABS not SRS.

if the abs fuse was blown in the first place, it must have had a problem.

Well it could also be the ABS computer module under the dash. That was the cause of my ABS light on my EB.
