Ok, the car sustained some damage the other day..
I ran over a brick at 70km/h, long story short, I had to get the front ball joint and stub axel assembly replaced..

so a few $$$ later I'm back on the road..

only a new issue has raised its head.

that being that I think the ABS sensor on the drivers side upright is damaged.

under normal to hard braking the brakes and ABS system all work as normal.

BUT

when crawling alon in traffic and stuff, so the car is doing low speeds, like 15km/h and under, I apply the brakes and the ABS feels like it is doing nuts, I feel the pedal pulsating with the ABS gear, and I can hear and feel the brakes on the front driver side (damaged side) activating itself..

I can punch the brakes from 100 to zero and everything works fine, apply the brakes solidly and the same happens.. brake lightly in normal driving and all is good.. but slow light applications bringing it to a stop, when the car is almost pulled up.. the ABS fires up..

so my questions are these..

is my whole ABS system rooted?
is it just the individual sensor?
can individual sensors be replaced?
how much do individual sensors cost (if they can even be bought this way)?
you get my drift..

advise me..
flame me..
help me..
should I be getting fault codes?
cause nothin is showing in the codes when I dump em.

its a pretty unnerving feeling.

What you're describing sounds like the sensor may be touching the tone wheel on the disc rotor. Remove the drivers front wheel and the brake caliper and have a check of the tone wheel and the clearance of the sensor, if it's scraping you should see evidence of this on the tone wheel, rotate the rotor and listen for scraping as well - with the caliper off this makes it easier. You can pull the sensor off (10 mm socket ??) and have a look also, remove any crap/metal filings off the face - if it's scrubbed a bit that's fine. You'll find the tone wheel may be warped or it may be not be seated properly, remove the disc rotor (put some creep marks on the bearing nut and the steering knuckle spindle so it can be put together without readjusting the bearings)you can use a hammer and a drift and tap around the centre hub of the rotor and tone wheel and try and correct it .
