Is it only when the cars acutally moving and accelerating, or does it do it when the cars stationary and the revs are increased?

Check your pannel pack studs around your splash/mud gaurds.

I had a problem when the lower studs came out causing noise when I was moving. Wind flow up underneeth the car caused the splash/mud guard to move back onto the tyre causing rubbing. It also tapped and flapped against the body of the car.

Splash/mud gaurds often rub and crack just from drive ways and speed humps etc..., causing them to flutter under the car. But you say that spot on the car has been in an accident. Worth a check?

Or perhaps it's not as simple as this?
