could someone tell me if the DYI shift kits on here will work on the I6 Adaptive shift models, (pins 71 & 81 and 5.6 omh and 18 omh resistors)

I don't know.
The adaptive shift type ECU has 5 shift patterns to pick from, depending on how its been driven at the time. The AU XR8's had this std.

EL GT autos and all AUxrs

and yes the kit still works but seems to bypass and resets the adaptive shift mode

ok thanks, my mate wants me to make him a shifft kit for his AUIII but i read here on the forums that all AUIII have adaptive shift, i dont want to be responsable for wreaking his car

make HIM install it then he can f**k it up
