im in the process of putting a adjustable shift kit in my 4.0l EF and in having a little trouble working out how to hook it up right with the pot
i've got a diagram on how i plan on hookin it up but want to be sure i have the wires going the right way i posted the same question in the shift kit mode thread but got no reply any help would be great as im not that good with electrics Last edited by peyote on Tue May 23, 2006 7:33 pm, edited 1 time in total. |

Kicks down nicely, but can be a little 'clunky' at slower speeds.

lol i have mine set to just over half way, because i love the way it kicks down and yes it takes the gears all the way out to 5500rpm before it'll change and at lower speeds it's really clunky so i switch it off once i'm in top gear.

i wasn't 100% sure if that was the way to do it as i thought a higher resistance would give a softer shift. you can turn it on but all the way down right?

What are they feeding kids these days..... my shift kit is scary LOL edit out the scary word n add fun. I love my shift kit in the wet it gets most of its use there love kickin sideways @ around 90ks then u can starta nice fishy (as long as its on a nice legal road that is )

in the diagram are 71 and 81 the pin numbers
also is the ecu found under the kick panel in the passenger footwell. peyote may i ask how u determined what resistors to and pot yo use Im gonna do this. |
