Well as far a I know standard ones can destroy them selfs at high speeds. Say over 150 if in bad condition.
The alloy ones are probably stronger and lighter. So for $50. If its in good condition, why not. |

i reckon $50 is a bargain if its in serviceable condition.

just keep in mind that if it's got a slight bend and smell dent anywhere it is not serviceable and not repairable.

i picked up my brothers rebuilt tailshaft from spicers($500), out of curiosity i asked how much an alloy tailshaft was for an xr6 to which he replied, i have 2 for $700.00 each, this was some time ago, so a good one for $50.00 i would jump on as long as its not damaged.

Sorry to hijack thread, what do people think a second hand alloy tailshaft is worth (i.e for one in good nic). Thanks

Thanks, just read that AU IRS has different tailshafts. Does anyone know if the lengths are different/if this is true?
