Great idea, I used to hate it when the stick would come out of the single rail in my old XT. Stupid plastic nut was a wank of an idea.

I never had that problem......I have worked on ones that did, and I think it was from a previous idiot that cross-threaded it in the first place, coz usually when they like that ( pull out on excited gear changes ), the thread in the alloy housing is a mess.....even seen some clowns using tech screws to hold the nut in, and chop the crap out of the pivot ball.
