g'day all
I have 4.11 diff gears ready to go in an el xr8. i was going to install em myself but everyone I've spoken to has said its very tiem consumin and if you dont line it up correctly it will distroy itself. I've done things like converting auto to manual, springs n shocks, exaust, disks and replaced rear axels, surely changing the diff ratio wont be much harder. If anyone has done it can you tell me weather its worth getting it done by a pro? Cheers simo

get it done by a PRO. 99% chance that different shims will be required to get the crown to line up to the pinion correctly and be tight. and if its not a matched set they will need to be lapped something also to be done by a pro.
Me and my mates have played with diffs and everything else. but thats one thing best done properly. we did my mates 4.11 its not the best.
