Hey Peps...

I had a s**t load of steering wheel wobble under brakes and one day while i was checking why my front end was clunking (Sway Bar Pin Rubbers were next to nothing) Replaced the Sway bar pin rubbers with blue polyuthrene bushes and noticed my brakes were metal on metal.

I replaced them noticed that the ball joint boots were f**k sprayed wd40 and left it at that... seemed to have fixed my problem.

But today i got up to speed on an 110km limit road and then sorta slowed done quickly and the wobbles came up again.

The thing is i need to get a wheel alignment and front wheels rebalanced which should be happing on friday midday.. Hopefully that should fix the whole wobbly steering s**t..

My main problem now that driving along a straight near perfect road the a** seems to be going side to side just slighty, What would that be from?

i don't know there is any noises or dramas with the rack itself but i will soon find out when get the wheel alignment, i think other then the ball joints boots being next to nothing (signs nothing to point they are rooted)

Sound's like you all need to get your Rotor's checked. A wheel alignment won't fix it, only make's a car drive straight and tyre's wear evenly. Hence alignment of all four (4) wheel's

I have issue with front shuddering also - Had it in both the old Fairmont and the Futura - Wheel Bearings did it once, but usually is the warped front disks... Also, warped rears shudder the brake pedal, which in turn, shudders the fronts, which in turn, shudders the wheel.

Ho hum.

EF / EL BRAKES SUCK THE BIG ONE.

My Fairmont wagon tended to "creep" a bit too. Someone with more mechanical knowledge than I laughed "LIVE REAR AXLE" and promptly ran away giggling somewhat stupidly. Whatever that means.

My Brake Pedal doesn't shudder or do anything weird.
