What is the difference with the EF/EL and NF/NL handbrake cables?

Is the front one (Handbrake handle to joiner) longer, or the rear one (joiner to diff)?

Just put the EL diff into the fairlane and have found the handbrake cables are 4 inches or so apart at the joiner..

Any ideas anyone?

mmmmmmmmmmm EL sedan, short wheel base, Fairlane, long wheel base.

Also there is a difference between the EF/EL cableing and the EA/EB/ED.

Yeah, which part is shorter/longer between sedan and fairlane, the front cable or the rear to the diff?

Are you trying to connect the EL rear cable to the NA front cable?

No, full EL setup going onto a NA.

I have a setup out of a EL sedan though and with the longer wheelbase the cables dont meet at the joiner. so Im wondering if its the cable from the handbrake handle to the joiner, or the cables to the diff and across that i need to get it to reach..

I belive that it is the front cable on the EF/EL-NF/NL that are different. Check on a EF/EL Station wagon if you can get access to one. I would check the difference between my sedan and the wifes wagon but it is dark and cold and the boogey man might get me.

She is working tomorrow night as well so I can't do it then either. When do you need to know?

Nah thats ok, thanks for the extra braincells..

Ithought it would be the front one as its the easier one to change. just needed a second opinion..

Lane and wagon are same wheelbase so it would be the front cable thats a few inches longer and they both should have the same one.

Ill try get a wagon one and see if that fits.

Thanks very much mate.
