Im looking for a kit to give more adjustment as the shim type hasnt enough bolt length and the K-Mac ratchet type isnt all that good from many sources.
Found these new types of kits made by Nolathane after told that Pedders sell them (as their own brand) The bush actually pivots so ther is no twisting pressure on the bush and are alot easier to adjust than the shim type, the locking nut prevents them from moving. Just wanting to know if anyone have these installed and if any problems have occured. Look the same and function almost exactly the same at the K-Mac stuff...
Don't look at beefy as the K-Mac solution either. And there is no teeth on the sliding bolt to keep it in check, which was a failing of the earlier K-Mac kits. A tad cheaper than the K-Mac kit too. P.S. I've had a K-Mac ratchet kit on my car for sometime now, and have been happy with it. As long as you get someone decent to align the thing. I would recommend one. |

I've been happy with my Nolathane. There's two Nolathane options, they also do the Evolution which is more expensive and better...

These are the evolution type. I may have to go look at a set and decide from there. I just want to get my alignment spot on and not moving after setting.

O, and just remmeber that usually with Nolathane stuff it's sold per side. So if it's one part number then it'll probably only do one side, you'll need 2 of them.

I realise that and it applies to alot of suppliers like K-mac, Noltec, Super Pro and even OEM Ford kits. Will let you all know what happens. |

If it is for a pair, that would make them less than half retail price for Kmac rachet. The original Kmac setup was always going to be prone to movement, the Nolathane setup uses a worm drive and a separate lock bolt, unless the bolt came loose it isn't going to move, and it wouldn't move at a quick rate.

Yeah the $103 is for 1 side (2 components) For its design in comparison its not that much more in expense compared to the shim type at around $60 per side.

Ok i got a price on these through work at $170 both sides (2 kits) so im going to give them a try.

they still have nolothane bushes in them, so you'll have to replace them in 12 months anyway.

try the new nolathane ones dude, they are similar to the old k-mac but rather than working on a cog thew are a worm drive,just a normal thread that winds in and out and then a lock nut,havent used them yet but the nolathane rep told me they wouldnt be much dearer than the old shim design, im a fan of the shim kits though, superpro make a good kit

Nah i havnt had a chance yet, had to replace my head gasket yesterday but will have to put them in soon.
