Hi, I want to get rid of the 6 leaf springs in my Panelvan, way too stiff for cruising and cornering too - I'd rather have a four leaf and good shocks. There's an EA falcon wagon rusting away in my neighbors place, can I swap springs? Is there such thing as a five leaf rear spring? looking through the wreckers they all seem to be 4 or 6 leaf

6 for load in van,4 for waggon, ute not sure,to check-measure from centre holes -across,distance from top of diff mount to centres for the radius, curve of the leafs.also check the width of the leafs, shackle rubbers and bolts, shackle arms may vary in size, ford spare parts may list them as the same parts,or a spare parts shop.

For the XH series:
5 leaf 3/4 tonne
6 leaf 1 tonne

Have a read of 'fiend's thread on this - he put together a hybrid spring, a combination of wagon and ute leaves.
All the rubber parts are interchangeable - except the front eyelets, utes/vans are round, E series wagons are oval.
You should be able to use the main ute leaf with the 3 wagon lower leafs.
I'd say the wagon units may fit straight in, but I can't confirm this - although all the other hardware is interchangeable.
