just wondering if irs was optional on the series 1 au ghia's. if not how can i tell if its irs or not? by looking at it it looks like its irs, looks nothing like efs and els that i have previously worked on. safe to say its irs??

anyone know of dobinson spring supplier in sydney area?

thanks.

I don't think it was standard...

Spotting should be real easy.... Just look underneath, and if you see a solid axle(diff) then its not irs. Also, irs models have rear struts. So if you see these, then yep - its an IRS.

And an interesting fact with the rear struts on an AU is they are identical to the front, except for the fact the spring seat is much much lower (just above the lower mount) and if put in the front of an AU would fully dump it! Though it would not be driveable - so really this is just a waste of typing!

All the AU's which had the VCT Engine have full electrics & IRS.
