Hi
I have an Au Xr8 with a leaking rack. I have a spare rack in a donor car which has a speed sensitive switch on it , from an Au Xr6. Is there any problem using the speed sensitive rack in the Xr8?
I'm assuming it should be exactly the same sans the switch.
Cheers

The AU's never had speed sensitive power steering.

Thanks for the reply
Thought I'd investigate a little further today
No fluid jn boots but found leak around one of the lines to the rack
Tightened connection about 3/4 of a turn
Looks like this might have been they culprit all along.
So no more questions about speed sensitive racks for now
Cheers
