I know its been up befor but due to my failing memory...
So far I gather they go in ok... requires a xmember mod of some kind, and the ecu plug is different but wires the same (?) What else was there befor I rush off the the wreckers? |

Dood....
i had a new AU tranny put in my ED earlier this year - dropped straight in. Alltrans advised me that there was no difference, except that some of the bearings are stronger. cheers,

Ah ok, there was talk awhile ago of them having better solenoids and stronger bands

Quite possible that the boxes were stronger in the internal, but on the outside they are the same.
eg. BTR97LE was used in the V8 EF and EL's and the BTR97M-LE was used in the T-series. The difference between the "non-M" and the "M" can't be too much, as I am running the "non-M" behind a TS50 220kw engine and it's going well.
