I am just wondering, what makes this shifter an "Adaptive shift" one. I really cant see any difference between this one and the normal AU one.

the adaptive shift is part of teh ECU programing

the ECU takes signals from tps, vaccum etc
and changes the way to auto shifts.

ie start flooring it and the auto will start shifting faster/harder and shift higher in the rpm range

while just being a nanna the auto will slow down and have soft slow shifts

thsi was in teh EL GT auto and all AU XR auto's
