Hi Guys and Gals of the Blue Oval lovers society.
New set of questions in relation to my auto swap.
I have found that the gearbox is the same as the EL..but the bell housing is different. The bolt holes don't all line up....that is..the top 4 and the starter bolts line up ...but at the bottom there are 2 holes missing and the other 2 are about 75 mm out of alignment.
1: What is the name of the bolts that hold the bell housing on to the gearbox. I call them torque bolts but am not sure that is the correct name. They are the ones with several points to them..not a hex nut.
2: Where would I get the socket to undo them? Supercheap?? maybe repco??
Also...a point for others that want to do this swap of autos...EL auto into an AU. There is a difference in the length of the gear selector rod of about 4 inches..100 mm for the young uns. lol

Hope to hear from the oval brains soon.
Later holden haters
