does anybody know if an au sedan diff, non irs will fit into an ef, if not what sort of mods are required to get it to fit?

yes it will fit, afaik there is a slight mod for the handbrake cable.

cool thank you, is it as easy as unbolt and bolt in or a bit more to it?
also will i retain e series offset or will it be au offset?

its a straight bolt in suspension wise... and it will be au offset as the au diff is longer..

ok so i fitted the diff into the car but i dont think it turned out right,
the flange at the front of the box appears to be angled upwards whereas previously the ef diff was more of less flat, any ideas? other than that everything lined up as it should with no hassels. brad

does the diff have 2 sets of bolt holes where the top arms bolt?? if not change the upper arms..

yes it does have 2 top holes but i didnt move it as it has a nut thing in a cover device and didnt know if i should or even able to move it

ditch the captive nut and use the rear hole to bolt the arm in,, this will tilt the diff forward..

are the nuts for the bolt available from bunnings or should i visit the wreckers to obtain some i think the nuts from the lower shock mount are the same.
also i noticed that the handbrake cables are different what should i do in this department?

Why would u want a Au diff ? Then u have to stuff around with Au rims on the back ?
Just get a good ef 3:45 LSD
