Anyone know whether a EF/L diff, is the same as a 99 AU S series 1? they were both solid axles? not IRS ?

i dont know if they are the same , but i think the ba was the first to have
irs.

i have an AU and it has the IRS rear end in it.which is great.I dont think they're the same.

the are both solid axles yes unless xr8, xr6vct T series and a few other models pretty sure the track would be diff but no idea the offset is different as well

the last series of the EL's has same gear sets as AU I. the EF had different gear sets. The thread on the pinion shaft is different as well as the thickness of the crown wheel. that is what i have found.

more than liekly it will fit if using all teh E series control arms no idea though neil. . . the track may be diff if it fits and also the rear wheel offset will be diff to the front so you would need a Au rear rims and E series fronts

The track is way different, thats why they went to different track wheels. as in the offset, is way inwards, like early Valiant and some Jap stuff.
