heys guys
I remember reading a post a while back about a bloke who had a diff whine in his au and put thicker oil in it, but i cant remember what grade he used. it could have been truck oil or something like that and it solved the problem
Any ideas???

Not sure what grade it was that he suggested. I run 85W250 shockproof gear oil.

Yes indeed, calmed it down nicely, no more clunk while slowing down for an intersection.

is it an LSD? if so the only recommended lubricant to use is mobilube SHC ID. There is also an additive available for diff chatter and whines which carries the part number (additive type sturaco 7098) ST7098. this additive is for BA Falcons with Lsd but works fine in the AU lsd also.
