Thats cool got 2lt of Castrol SAF-XA for my XR8 sitting there, use that. Do a bit of a flush now...

if they are only small shavings I doubt you'll have much of an issue... They wont cause any hassle... Its more where they have come from thats the worry... :?

Hey mate I am just wondering if you still have those pics of the axle and whatever else relating to doing the bearing on the read end would be much appreciated.

Hey mate,

This axle is slightly bent...

{DESCRIPTION}

You can see the flange plate, seal is behind that, bearing behind that and lastly the retainer... The retainer will not press off... It will need to be split with a cold chisel (bearing kit should included a new one)... Bearing will press off... Polish where the seal runs... Replace seal... Press bearing on with like 5 or 10tonne of force on the press... Then press the new retainer on after that...
