Hi guys,
Just wondering if it will fit, it'll be bolted to an AU engine, is the box longer than an EA-EL one? Thanks Ben |

Well if you really want T5.. Better put EA - EL T5
Coz AU T5 bit different length and wont fit.... I think! Remember bell housing Before EL has 6 bolts and after AU 8 bolt. I put EF T5 in EB body and I mods bell housing EF to make 2 hole extra and it fit perfect on AU motor in EB. Nice car in your gallery... keep look after it! Cheers Richard

Thanks for that, I did what I should have before posting and did a search on "gearbox comparisions" and pics show the AU T5 is considerbly longer, thanks Bomber.
Thanks again. Ben |

using the EF/EL bellhousing ya shouldn't have a drama.. if the box is longer get the tailshaft shortened.

I'm running the AU motor and box, and I had to cut about 2 inches out of the floor pan to make it work

Yeah from the pics the shifter won't be in the right location? hence the cutting.
