Ive bought a au 5 speed conversion from a 1999 xr6 auI.. just wondering what I will have to change for it all to bolt straight into my ef gli. Ive seen I have to get a new fly wheel and bolts.. but in another post I found that the fly wheel and bolts are all the same from 1989 to 2000.. some people been saying the bell housing will bolt straight up some people saying it wont.. will the au computer work in the ef? ive already modified the pedal box so all thats fine but just want to know exactly what I will need before I go pulling it all out..

Your biggest problem will be that the gear box extension housing is actually 50mm longer than the E-series version. This means the gear lever will be sticking up further back and you would have to cut your floorpan for it to fit and it won't match up to the centre console.

With the bell housing, 2 bottom bolts don't line up, but most say that isn't an issue as there are enough bolts holding it on.

Have you read the manual conversion tech guide by Voxace? It pretty much has a shopping list for everything you will need and a step by step guide on how to do it

As was said above, your shifter will be further back, also you will need an AU Manual Tailshaft.

No the AU ECU will not run the EF.

measure up & measure where it fits so then you know before selling it ... you can always change the gearstick

Yes, you can use resistors to trick the ecu into thinking there is an auto still there.

Please read this. All questions will be answered.
