not sure if this is the right place to put this, but ill give it a go.
i have a set of the au 16's that i wanna drag on, on saturday. just wondering if there would be any issues with them being on the back without spacers? |

No will foul the suspension.
Pre-au fords have 0-10mm offset and the AU onwards have around 35mm offset which means the holes where the hub meets are recessed which bring the back of the rim closer to the springs. |

They will (I beleive) fit on the rear but not on the front. I wouldn't drive it far like that though cos it stands out froma mile away that your track is out and you'll finish up with a pretty sticker

yeah i knew that they wouldnt go on the front. in not going to drive around on the road with them. i just want them to drag on, on saturday thats is.
so if they go on the back without touching anything like they should they should be ok. |

sounds dodgy, you could run into problems, where they are sweet when the car is standing still, but when you hit the gas the car will rock back compressing the rear springs clearance with suspension might then become an issue. Like was said earlier they will sit quite close to your suspension and will stick out like a sore thumb so definately dont drive those on the road.
Can you not get hold of some stock ea-el 15's? the offset for those will be fine |

They will be fine. I knew someone who drove with them on the back of his superlowed EF for like 18 months without issue. Did a few stints at Heathcote too with them.
They just look stupid, and thats it.. lol. |

standard width should clear no worries.

Yeh, standard width will just fit. Any wider and you at least need an 8mm washer style spacer which cost all of $20pr. ♠

yeah sweet. yeah i was thionking of getting them just to make sure, instead of spending like 80 or so dollars just for 2 spacers to go down the track on for 1 afternoon.

cause the biggest stockies i could get are 15's and i wanted bigger for that little bit more traction
