I'm sure this question must already be answered on Fordmods, but I couldn't find it using search.

Is an AU steering wheel (AU2 Momo) a straight bolt-in swap into an EF1? It looks like the EF cruise control buttons should fit straight into the AU wheel. And I should be able to retain the EF clockspring. But I don't know if the shaft splines, etc are the same, of there is some other technical hitch (airbag connector, etc).

Thanks.

Thanks for that. I'm pretty sure the Momo wheel came off an AU2. Is that the same?

Thanks.

They fit.
There is a couple of degrees difference in the tapers on the shaft between E series and AU and to cover their a*** people will tell you it cant be done.
It works but. I took the Roman Autotech wheel off the missus's EL XR8 before she sold it and it now takes pride of place on my series 2 AU ute.

Based on that fact my Mum is the best around!

Cool, thanks.

My AU2 XR6 came with the optional Momo wheel and I love it. I have a chance to buy another AU Momo wheel at a good price, and am eyeing it for my EF.
