You will find the ea-el motors have a differnet bellhousing pattern to the AU motors.

Two of the bottom bolts will not line up. Thats ok, still safe.. I have been running one for a long time.

yes.. but the au shift will sit 50mm further back as the extension housing is 50mm longer than e series.. this might also meen the e series tail shaft will then be too long...

Ok, an AU T5 requires the floor to be hacked, console shifted back, and a new tailshaft made up. The AU shaft hp too long for an E Series.

I already told you all of that Mick

You should get away with using the console without modding it, IF you buy one of those shift kits I have and have the goose neck part of the shaft turned around 180 degrees. The floor will need to be cut and a piecr of steel welded in on the firewall end of the hole so it still fits the rubber boot.

Yeaa i now josh, But i had 4 people saying it will fit with no moding, Then i remembered you saying its diff.... So i was like screw it post on fordmods....
Yea the plan was to buy the shift kit for the console, But now getting told the AU tailshaft won't fit im thinking of just getting the auto for a little longer..

that shifter idea is good, but won't quite work. Moving the console back 50mm is easy to do with an EA-D
