AU brakes in my XR8 are in desperate need of a replacement.
After some spirited driving they are absolutely gone. Have good pads and new brake fluid in it now and rotors r fine. Just uncapable of the driving situations. Want 2 or 4 piston front calipers and new rotors all round with good pads. Will pay more than 2g for a goood set up if needed. Any suggestions?

PBR do an excellent setup along with AP Racing for around $2750 to suit AUs .... I dont know of many AP racing distributors apart from CEBCO (compfriction) and AP direct ...cant seem to find the phone number i had for them.
And thats a nice perfomance brake package

this is an easy one,
you must have a AU1 with the small calipers. fit either AU2/3 or even better BA the BA have larger rotors (about 300 mm) they required lower control arms and stubs to be changed aswell as the sway bar assy. we can supply the whole lot with as new rotors and calipers for $1500 |

This sounds like a good option so long as it doesnt sacrifice something to make the brakes better.

John from Cebco brakes is definately worth a call.
around $2,000 for twinh piston 330mm rotors and all the neceassary parts, including braided hoses and FULL ENGINEERING certification, so it's a legal mod, which is important when you think about playing with brakes and insurance companies.

Aaron, Joe and I from crescent motors are working on the exact same kit for way under that mark, Hopefully around the $1000k mark fitted roughly. |

i wouldnt even consider a aftermarket kit, the AU2-3 and BA bolt straight on ,using all factory parts and doesnt alter any geometry you dont need a engineers certificate and it wont affect insurance ect. we have sold plenty of these kits including parts to companies that do "performance brake packages" as this is what they sell you to go onto a series 1.

They have the Tickford Wings on it.
Here: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v210/ ... dshot3.jpg Sylox picked up a set, callipers, rotors, lines, brackets for just over a grand. I was originally looking at getting slotted rotors, maybe PBR callipers (twin pot), and maybe braided hose-lines, but all that would come to about a grand. So i thought i'd look for a Premium set. Sorry for getting a bit off topic.
