Hi everyone,
My first post here.
I just had a mishap with my au s1 xr8.
The lower control arm ball joint was rubbing against
The inner rotor.
So i went and got a whole new control arm as i needed the car to go work.
Turned out the control arm i was given is a s2.
Now my problem is the swaybar link.
The s1 is straight link, the s2 arm is sideways.
Now i have a s2 arm control and everything else is s1.
Can someone help me or guide me to which swaybar link i need to get please?

I looked on eBay and there where too many and different sizes.
I would really appreciate if i can be directed to the right link.
Thanks alot everyone.

You still need to get a Series 1 control arm, trying to use mixed parts is only going to cause more problems.

The arm was put on by a mechanic and he said there is a L shaped link i can use. I had a search last night on google, came out with Wasp swaybar link #WSK111.
Also SP102499 from autobarn, just unsure if measurement is correct.

If the "mechanic"put the wrong part in you need to get him to fix it and sort out the sway bar link. I'd be angry with him as there's a few differences between the two including the way the struts fit, does it drive straight?

Yes it drives straight with no problems. The arm is identical to the original one i had, just the link hole is side ways.
He told me b4 doing anything, i had no choice, my old arm was gone and it was 5.15pm. I'm gonna go to autobarn and see the link they have.
It does drive alot better than it used to.

The only thing that may be a problem is if the sway bar link works from a different angle may cause it to feel strange on one side as you're essentially have two different links on the sway bar, won't now unless you try though.

Any of the series 2 links should work and you'll have a spare.

S2 links won't work, need L shaped link like the VY holden.
I'm just going to replace the left side arm to s2 and hub axel and do a brake upgrade while I'm at it.
Thanks for your help.
