Hey guys, my gear stick on the auto vibrates and rattles a lot on bumpy roads and stuff and mainly on freeway. Sometimes it will kick itself back into 3rd.
Has anyone else had this problem?

Check the Gearbox rubber mount and if you are getting sideways movement on the gear lever, get some bushes and change them. The bushes are part number 68AB 7A133 AA from Ford but as far as the mount goes, try after market, they are TOO expensive genuine Ford, about $200.00.

Nah no sideways movement only up and down. It doesn't lock properly either sometimes going from D to 3.

Like I said, sounds like the rear mount. They are affected by a lot of vibration and can suffer if exposed to too much oil and grease. I am sure that either Repco or another major parts people could help with a better price than Ford. :)

P.S., I would be checking the front ones as well.
